Campus Dining 101

Hungry? Here's some information about MTSU’s dining halls, food courts and convenience stores.

There are two dining halls on campus that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in a cafeteria style, both for dining in and take out. McCallie Dining Hall, located near the Student Union, is a very popular spot for students with a meal plan. Usually, when you hear someone mention anything about a cafeteria style meal, McCallie is the name mentioned. Similar to McCallie, Raider Zone is located on the older, west side of campus near Peck Hall and the KOM. It's less known than McCallie but is very well favored by those familiar with it. Both McCallie and Raider Zone are buffet-style.

Craving something other than cafeteria-style food? MTSU offers an off-campus style food experience without having to leave campus. You can either visit the Student Union or the KUC Grill depending on what you’re craving. The Student Union has six different restaurants: Blue Raider Grill, Dunkin’ Donuts, Happy Tomato, Restaurant Rotation, Panda Express and Steak ‘n Shake. The KUC Grill features five: Asian Express, Brewed Awakenings, Chick-fil-a, Pizza Hut and Subway. If you have flex bucks or a meal plan with meal equivalency then these food courts are great choices.

Cyber Cafe, near the Science Building, is a food court with a Subway and a Provision On Demand. There's a Starbucks in the Library, just to the left as you enter.

Hungry and in a hurry? Not a problem, MTSU has Provisions on Demand (P.O.D.) that cater to your on-the-go needs. P.O.D.’s are located in Cyber Cafe, Student Union, Business and Aerospace building, Bragg Media and Entertainment Building and Peck Hall. These P.O.D. stores have many options for you to choose from. Each of them is a little different, but they usually keep most of the same items. There are snacks, drinks, coffee, and prepared food. These stores are a little pricey, but that’s because of the convenience.
